Mesothelioma

Amongst several other dreaded diseases, mesothelioma is a rare sort of cancer, which is lethal and is mushrooming at a rapid pace creating several patients to lose their lives. Mesothelioma cancer is mainly caused as a result of being in contact of asbestos which is a metal widely used in industrial purposes and the chances of people susceptible to this disease is more for the ones working in industries and mines for they are more exposed to this pollutant.

Although mesothelioma is very difficult to detect as its symptoms start coming up after several years in some cases. Syndrome involves loss of weight, coughing, shortness of breath as the primary affected area is the lungs.

Malignant mesothelioma is a rare lung cancer which caused due to the drying up of the fluid in the tissues that lines the lung and chest. The manifestation of this disease may take up several years therefore the patients may die before the treatment begins. Not necessarily the people who are exposed to asbestos are the ones who are likely to get this disease but this fibrous element is a predominant cause for this disease to occur. X-ray, MRI are some of the treatments methods of mesothelioma.

In order to curb this disease to certain an extent it is necessary for the industries to curtail the excessive use of asbestos so as to reduce the threats posed by this disease. It can be cured only if it is detected in the first phase.
